Tolerance works both ways, all ways. If you want ppl to respect who you are and your beliefs and value system, then you are obligated to do the same. You can’t demand tolerance while practicing intolerance.

If someone had said ‘I’m not going to my cousin’s wedding because he’s marrying a Jew’ then Ben would understand why his comment is problematic.

The big difference is that ben isnt trying to shut down the wedding. He is simply following his religious guideline. He has full respect for gay people and inter-religious people. He talk about it in detail on the JRE podcast. Im not religious, but i fully understand their POV

That’s not intolerance; calling for a government crackdown on homosexuality is intolerance. Just because I may not approve of what you do, doesn’t mean I don’t respect your right to do as you please. Personal liberty is dying because of nonsensical questions like this.

So it's ok for non religious people? There are non religious people who refuse to go to weddings for various reasons so why is it only religious people who are deemed intolerant? Seems like a bit of intolerance on your part.

It seems it's only brought up when its religious people, as if we are the only ones without opinion or act a certain way.
