We are all inspired by Masih because we understand the context-because it is our experience and our life! Feminists in the West need to start recognizing and respecting that our lived experiences matter. That our voices matter. We may be opressed, but we refuse to be victims.
As women and girls we need to raise our voice against exploitation. We need to unite in this fight against discrimination and exploitation which many girls and women face.
Not only women in Islamic world support @AlinejadMasih and her struggle. I am Dutch, grew up with an originally catholic mother (but stepped out of church after WWII) and atheïst father and follow her few years now 24/7. Many more women like me are. Free #YasamanAryani and mum!

The issue I have with labelling the headscarf in the way that you do is that you're as bad as those that do force women to wear it. Compulsion is compulsion whether you pressure one to do or not do. If you advocated for womens' freedom to choose that is as it should be.

Honestly I just now learned of the existence of WITW conference. I took a look at the speakers of this event, and I strongly belief @AlinejadMasih was one of the few who had a message that could save and change lives. Unlike women such as @HillaryClinton
