Criticizing Omar for laughing as she equates terrorist orgs to the US and the UK is valid and necessary It’s dangerous to NOT criticize her actions It’s racist! It’ll incite violence! These are the same tactics Islamists use to try to silence our criticism of extremism 1

We can’t be forced into silence about one bad thing lest that criticism cause another bad thing...that’s insane. So we’ll just accept bad things and never criticize them? No. Of course not. Keep talking. Free Speech is still in your first amendment. /end

Every politician should expect a lot of criticism. It's par for the course. But despite the fact that she makes careless and inflammatory comments all too frequently, Trump's recent tweet about her puts her in grave danger. We can't condone that.

So all of the constant criticisms of Trump, both legitimate and hyperbolic, should cease immediately because it puts his life in grave danger?

Criticisms should not cease, but incitement to violence should. As President, Trump's in a position that bears a bigger responsibility. For him to post that tweet after that crazy pipe bomber, he knows it could easily be read as a tacit incitement to violence. Do you disagree?

I definitely agree that no incitements to violence should ever be tolerated, obviously. I didn’t see the tweet you’re referring to as I don’t follow Trump and I actively avoid seeing/hearing him, but I sincerely doubt his ppl would allow him to tweet an incitement to violence.

He posted an edited video of her speech at CAIR saying "Some people did something" (which I find reprehensible) intermixed with video of the twin towers incinerating and collapsing. Coming from anyone else, I think it'd be compelling, but coming from Trump - not okay.

Regardless. My tweet was not re Trump’s tweet specifically. She and her posse cry racism and incitement to violence over everything. It’s a tired Islamist tactic designed to silence ppl. They blamed everyone who criticized Islamic extremism for the NZ attack. We can’t let it work

I agree with you there! BTW, I helped fund the documentary that you were recently featured in and I'm a big fan of yours.
