As a fellow Canadian who grew up admiring Margaret Atwood, I’m ashamed, angry, and so heartbroken that she has not retracted her previous comments on niqab. She’s the one who taught ME to recognize my surroundings. Of course she sees that this should be unequivocally condemned.
