What would be interesting would be a large scale study asking how people self identify and then how that fits with other people's perception of their alignment given their stance on certain issues.

Used to be center-left. Mod-left #walkaway ironically while moving "Leftward" on the political spectrum is what is needed in Islamic countries for the sake of freedom & rights, in USA it means going too far, depriving rights, freedoms becoming fascist & allying with Islamists.

I find the Left/Right spectrum to be fairly useless.

I'm too far left to consider myself a centrist, but there are some liberal ideas I hold to, such as freedom of speech. So I'll just consider myself on the left and be done with it.

Differs with the change of country!!

Centre to centre-right; my ideas differ greatly, ex: I’m Liberal in the sense than I’m pro-choice & pro-common sense gun laws, but I’m conservative when it comes to free speech, free market economy, border security etc. x Full on rightwing/leftwing is too crazy 4 me.
