I don’t think the govt supporting a girl w anorexia is socialism-thats just basic humanity. I think theres a need for govt to fill the void if families are not able to We don’t live in yesteryear anymore. Unfortunately, we no longer live in communities that support their members
So, I’m happy for my tax dollars to go to helping ppl who need to turn to the govt for support. If that means I’m a pro bigger govt socialist, so be it. The label is irrelevant, as long as ppl around me aren’t left suffering needlessly

We all should be that compassionate, but does the government have the right to force people to pay other people’s bills/solve their issues? I think there’s a huge difference between the smaller community willing to help and the government forcing an entire nation to “help.”
