It will be difficult for Western women who wore hijab on Hijab Day, at the Women’s March, or in NZ to watch this and not feel shame
Listen as @AlinejadMasih explains how you’ve betrayed women
We all deserve freedom...not just you
STOP supporting our subjugation

Tin ear. If you want to agitate your issue, take it up with your lot who require it, not generous bystanders. We are not your problem.
-
If only you were just bystanders. If only you didn’t support our subjugation by splashing hijabs all over advertisements, runways, and even on Barbie ffs. We don’t need ‘your lot’ to help us. We need you to get the fuck out of our way.

Hijab is not about religion It's about women's place in public, about women's freedom. Compassion can be shown without headscarf hijab veil burqa ... Did NZ men also wore hijab to mourn?
-
it is about religion too, mandated by religious texts, by the prophet of that religion himself.

And she would be opposed to any Hint of modesty dress codes IF IT WERE ENFORCED IN THE WEST. Thus, how can she claim to be a feminist when she does not advocate for UNIVERSAL women’s rights.

I guess using hijab as support is an individual election that may be right or wrong. Using compulsory hijab is another thing and without doubt wrong.

And some people here can't tell the difference between 'imposing your will' and merely raising objections; some people can't tell the difference between very liberal norms in the West and draconian ones in eg. ME. Some people like a bit of self-pity.

Who the hell you think you are to decide whether hijab is a universal symbol or not? I respect your decision not to wear it but don't impose your evil ideology on others. If you are referring to your culture that's fine but don't confuse your culture with religion, PERIOD!
