Yes, especially for
#ExMuslims as we‘re taught this world is meaningless/useless and that we should not strive for happiness or even comfort but to just spend our time serving Allah so that we can be rewarded in the afterlife. Death is the good part of life.
As Bin Laden said: “We love death as you love life.” So ya, becoming an atheist, I fell in love w life! It’s beautiful and magical and wonderful in ways I didn’t notice because I was too fixated on avoiding eternal damnation and doing what needed to be done to get to Heaven.
