I do let them be. I let Hasidic women who shave their heads be as well. And Mormon women who wear modesty underwear. They have the right to wear what they want If Nike supported Mormon underwear by slapping its logo on it-most feminists would react accordingly Right =/= Support
Nike saw an opportunity here with Muslim women who cover their heads. Its just about a company expanding their market. Having a hijab with their logo is the same as having a toque on with their logo. Its about $$$.
So would they just put a swastika on a Nike touqe to try and reach the Neo-Nazi demographic? Of course not. Let’s not pretend that these decisions are purely financial. They have social obligations too. They should not be pushing dangerous ideas w their brand.
