I think it's terrible when little girls have to wear the hijab. Let them enjoy their childhood innocence in freedom and comfort! I saw a little girl the other day, she can't have been more than about 5 or 6, in one. She shouldn't have to worry about appearing "modest".

The irony is that these mothers are doing exactly the same thing as those women who force their daughters into childhood beauty pageants. Childhood is short enough anyhow, don't sexualise kids.
