#WhenIWasAMuslim I was told I was morally superior because I wore hijab and niqab. I was told I was a better person and that I’d be rewarded more in the afterlife
But I didn’t feel those things. I felt suffocated and robbed of my individuality

Probably more of a case of a man murders his ex wife and family than ex hijabi killed for removing scarf, if we're honest.

There was a case just like that in Australia too. Ppl have a hard time believing someone would murder another over a piece of fabric, but those of us from the community know better. Here’s a man that killed his daughter over it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Aqsa_Parvez …

100% I support your movement and I acknowledge that many women and girls have been honor killed over a bolt of fabric. But I also am aware that many women and children have been murdered by (ex)husbands and fathers for no reason at all
