‘I found a lot of similarities between jihadis and neo-Nazis – and it has less to do with the ideology and more to do with their human needs that aren’t being met’ explains @Deeyah_Khan, director of two films on @Netflix exploring white supremacy and radical Islam.pic.twitter.com/00zIIVjYGe

So glad you have tackled this! Wherever there are packs of underemployed men - there is a tendency towards tribalism, whether it is football hooliganism or joining a gang. The sense of 'belonging,' finding meaning, having a goal no matter how destructive. Historical problem imo.

For ppl to turn to violence, of course it's more than just ideology. However, they find excuse in the ideology. The reason why most of them are salafists is because such a strict interpretation gives them 'proofs' of how broken the world is.

Absolutely! Therefor the ideologies schould not be above scrutiny, and big time critique.
@VrijLinks is doing a great job of driving both messages from previous tweets home in the Netherlands imo....”no person beneath dignity, and no idea above scrutiny..”Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
