I’ve got woke white women on Facebook defending hijab to me, whilst I’m telling them stories of oppressed Iranian women, desperate to be free of it. And the stories of my own personal friends.
But they don’t care. Bc wokeness is more important than actual people’s lives.

The irony of this just kills me. Women in the freest country on earth, with full and equal rights, getting angry with me for opposing hijab bc I stand with women who are LITERALLY OPPRESSED. Makes my blood boil.

I’m so grateful to have met you today. It’s an uphill battle trying to get through to ppl who really have no clue yet have the arrogance to talk over those that have LIVED that life. Meeting ppl like you makes me have hope in humanity again. Thank you

PS: Thank you for fighting. Millions of women (as you know) cannot fight for themselves, and I know they would join me in expressing love and gratitude to you for not just looking at photos of cute cats, but bothering to infuriate yourself by engaging in those conversations
