Sorry, but I agree with this. I am a gay man and I dont believe that this is something that should be taught in schools. Schools should be worried about academic education, not social. Let the parents and families teach them that part.
You’re wrong. School is not just about academics. Schools should and already do teach inclusivity. The whole purpose of school is to prepare children to succeed in society. When you live in a diverse society, it is imperative that you teach acceptance and tolerance of all ppl.

I’m sure they’re happy when we teach children not to be racist towards Pakistanis or bigoted against Muslims...but they’re not ok w teaching kids not to be bigoted against LGBT? That’s not how life works.

acceptance and tolerance is fine, but specifically teaching many of the lgbt issues is not something for children to learn. They are adult conversations. And ones that parents should be talking with their children, not a teacher.
