Your point is a separate one with which I agree. Now let’s have a deeper conversation about purity culture. If western culture was allowed to challenge rape culture, why deny women from Muslim cultures the right to challenge the ethos of rape culture in our societies?

Would never deny women from Muslim cultures such a thing. As she said, @LibyaLiberty fights for the end of laws requiring women to wear a hijab and I think that's great. But I would also never try to label a woman who freely chose to wear one as participating in rape culture.

You can look away but do not deny us our right to call out sexism that is an intrinsic part of the hijab culture that says a woman is responsible for protecting herself from the lustful eyes of men by covering her hair. Hijab culture perpetuates gender apartheid to “protect” us

Yes, great way to make your feminist point - by blaming me for men who choose to rape because I decided to cover my earlobes. I can wear hijab for any reason I want, and I’m still not responsible for a man who decides to rape.
