This kind of response comes from both privilege and ignorance. No one in these photos is told they'll burn in hell if they don't wear scarves. None of them will be imprisoned, beaten or killed for not wearing scarves unlike millions of women #FreeFromHijab #WhiteWednesdays

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Mariah. Ppl like Shannon do not understand--yet they still have the confidence to pontificate. What they should be doing is listening and learning from ppl who have lived experience vs giving us their uninformed opinion.
