Sorry for such a bad experience. I dont know what oppression you're talking about but I wear my hijab freely, on my own accord. Please dont speak for the masses if you and a few others were unlucky enough to be forced into wearing a hijab. Thank you.
That’s literally what you’re doing. No one cares about your personal experience. This is a huge worldwide issue. I’ve provided links of women being beaten, imprisoned, attacked w acid even killed, if you care...but you obviously don’t because you’re not so ‘unlucky’
so taking it away and expecting the oppressed women to stay inside and restricting the non oppressed voluntary wearing woman helps with that how again?
Some women are beaten, have acid thrown at them or killed for having sex outside of marriage. How about women whose partners beat them for cutting their hair or force them not to have friends? What's your solution? Force every woman to cut her hair? Sleep around? What?
Knowing how humans work, do you think women are more or less likely, as individuals, to take off the hijab if they have the opportunity to engage in personally affirming activities like running? Your position strikes me as justice performance.
Even if woman wants to wear it?
It is wild to me that people immediately assume your argument is that nobody should be able to wear hijab if they want to. It completely misses the point.
What you choose to wear, or not wear, is none of my business. There's no difference between your demand that women uncover, and the Islamic patriarchy telling women they must cover. Both are imposition on other people.
