Ah, the privileged "let them eat cake" responses from ppl living in countries where they have the choice to wear what they want.
Most Muslim women are not as lucky as you.
For pity's sake, get a clue:

France is a country where people do generally have a choice about what they wear. I’m against women being compelled to wear the hijab. I’m against women being compelled not to wear it. Basically, I’m against women being compelled. Hope that’s clear enough.

This video was made for ppl like you. Ppl who only find their voice when it is to defend the hijab-a tool of misogyny and modesty culture-but are nowhere to be found when it comes to defending WOMENhttps://www.confessionsofanexmuslim.com/fullscreen-page/comp-jr5f93zd/f40d5414-3eec-4f67-95fd-f7a2006add67/1/%3Fi%3D1%26p%3Dcee5%26s%3Dstyle-jr5f940t%26rl%3D1 …

It’s like you literally can’t hear me. I’m not defending the hijab. I am defending women. But it’s clear that you’d rather argue with what you think I’ve said, rather than taking the time to understand what I’m actually saying.

If people in France successfully ban hijabs for running or swimming, they're not liberating Muslim women from the hijab. They're preventing women who wear hijabs from being able to choose to run or swim.

Absolutely. But I also question the value of focusing on the hijab itself rather than on disempowerment in general.

Said by someone with no skin in the game. The hijab is a valued focus bc it's a clear, public stmt that these women live under control, down to the most personal, all-encompassing way possible, to be resisted on risk of real harm, physical and social.
