“Banning the hijab will just limit Muslim women further. What you instead do is allow it, because we live in a free society, but discourage it.” Thats literally what Decathlon did.Theyre a retailer, not the govt. Theyre not banning the hijab just because they choose not to sell it

I've followed Yasmine for sum time, n while her wording can be misunderstood, or she overreacted by pointing to race, she's normally not one to generalise abt race. Personally I'm against d discussed ban, but sports hijab certainly isn't about liberation/free choice either..

The Kung fu class my kids go to is trying to figure out how to accommodate a couple Muslim women who want to do Kung fu but can’t have a male instructor or be in the room with men. It’s a family biz, dad and son are coaches. I don’t know how they’re gonna work that out.

Yup. I agree with you on this point. Clueless white people using their own cultural norms to judge other cultures. Cluelessness. Normally that is unimportant except that in this case it is harmful cluelessness. SMH.

You think it was the lack of sport hijab retailers that prevented Muslim women from engaging in sports all these yrs?
