Statements like this are why I find Muslim Brotherhood supporting Islamist Shadi Hamid pernicious. America is a secular country. If Islam wants to live here, it will need to be secular. Ask him. Ask him for a point-blank, yes or no answer. His favorite thing to do when asked is to send you a link to his book on Amazon. It’s not hard to say NO I don’t support the terrorist/Islamist regime that has killed many of my fellow Egyptians...but he’s never said that.
