Modern Britain failed so completely in giving these people a positive identity to latch on to, that they were easily taken in by ISIS propaganda. That’s the real tragedy here.
Theres so much focus on ISIS brides. While it’s good that ppl recognize that these women are simply terrorists-just like their male counterparts-it’s also important to recognize that this is the punctuation at the end of a very long sentence. I disagree, you cannot blame Britain because an individual went online saw videos of people getting beheaded and murdered in the most base fashion and thought "I need to be part of this". Stop trying to remove personal agency from the decisions she made.

You are a viable role in all of this. I loved Sam Harris' podcast with Michael Weiss about Syria and the Middle East. It taught me so much that I wouldn't be able to know otherwise. I did visit Egypt to see a friend of mine. Sisi is a monster. I want to help Egypt as well!

I’m Left WIng, but of some these women didn’t openly leave Isis, they were caught because that had nowhere to go. Imagine had they not been caught and ISIS had been stable, they would still be in ISIS. There could be some reform for removing their ideology, but citizenship? idk

I would totally agree with you if they were not 15 when they ran away. When 15 year old girls are groomed online by pedophiles and run away with them society sees victims.. manipulated and abused children. How do we know that this wasn’t another form of the same thing?

As @Toby_D_Ress she actively looked for the most degenerate material she could possibly find, execution videos, and instead of feeling revulsion it reinforced her decision to become a part of it. No manipulation, she radicalised herself. She is NOT a victim in this.

There are two modes of living - survival and happiness. Warlike activity is about survival. At that level, the rules should be about protecting your team. Therefore, ISIS brides should not be able to to return to the UK, if they deliberately joined ISIS, until hostilities end.
