Decriminalizing it wont stop it from being a cultural no no. Arranged marriages are banned in many countries but it still happens.

In a dozen countries, the punishment is execution (all Muslim majority)
I hope this is one issue both left and right (and everyone in between) can unite together to get behind!

If Trump administrations mange to decriminalize homosexuality all around the world, that will be their biggest achievement, not just for US but for the entire world. Even though I can't imagine it happening, but I really appreciate their initiative.

Alarmingly, as a gay man who used to regard himself as "left of centre" it seems those on the left in western countries are the most homophobic. The world is kind of messed up. I didn't change, the left did.

Yet somehow evangelical Christians like me who just don't support gay marriage are the baddies, but fundamental Islamic countries which throw gay men from buildings? Wonderful, lovely, great places. The left often have good points and ruin them with inconsistency and hypocrisy.
