Dear Left & Right There’s not a fine line between ‘All Muslims are an oppressed minority w good intentions but big bad white meanies force them to terrorism’ and ‘All Muslims are born evil and want us dead’ There’s a huge chasm of truth in between both severely false statements.

What is fascinating about both is how self-centered they are. As if Muslims only exist in relation to the West.

Not to mention that it ignores the history and intercommunal relationships Islamic nation states have had completely independent of their interactions with the West; often, it assumes that Islamic communities' history and heritage is defined solely on interactions with the West.

I only will talk here from Indian experience. My country was split because Muslims refused to live with Hindus and we are still bearing the brunt of Pakistan. I never understood why Kashmiri's want to become part of Pakistan except for the religion.

The problem is that the fundamentalists Muslims are driving the agenda and the moderates, if any, are not doing anything.....not even condemning the fundamentalists.
