Slavery was made illegal after a long period of denying that there was slavery in Saudi Arabia.

exactly my point, Saudia Arabia is very difficult to work with bc they don't actually think they're doing something wrong, to them "this is good" and it's hard to change something if a person let alone country think "it's good".

What kinda slavery? They r there to protect the woman..which is viewed as very valuable..thus all the restrictions.. Daily, regular rules, y do we have them? Traffic lights for ex;if everyone can n know wut to do, y do we still need one? they r there for a purpose.

You get the impression within the UK that some within the British establishment are 'in awe' of the Saudi rulers. So I would not hold out any hope for pressure for change coming from that group.
