Of course it’s a lack of liberty. Of course it doesn’t meet liberal values. It’s modesty culture. It’s victim-blaming. Its’s rape culture. It’s all the things we agree are abhorrent and anti-woman Women can choose to support misogyny, that’s their right. But it’s not a good thing

Woman do not freely choose burqa. They were raised that way as children & now as adults they do not want to go against community as Sharia law is all encompassing. There is no freedom under the umbrella of Sharia!!
The CBC does not understand the meaning of the word Liberty. Ironically, neither does the Liberal Party, for the only thing Liberal about the Liberal Party is its name.
