I’ve had ppl tell me once a jihadi wife always a jihadi wife..you can’t be trusted. Those ppl were either far-right or far-left. Most rational ppl, not possessed by their ideology, recognize that humans are capable of significant change for the better-and that’s to be celebrated.
Also change and reckoning are two very different things. One is possible, the other is not. We can change moving forward, but there’s no pound of flesh that will right past wrongs. There’s too many of them. And besides, that’s collective blame-the exact mistake that Neeson did!

Well stated. I agree, but just to clarify: There are with respect to past wrongs embedded sentiments, possibly woven right into the culture, that ensures they keep happening so that the past can't just stay in the past. That is what must be faced and dealt with.

Absolutely. We need to be vigilant w dealing w those issues. And when we just cry wolf, it only muddies the water. Lord knows we have enough issues to deal w-we dont need to fabricate more.
