You may appreciate this. In my class on "Modesty" in Judaism I cite a Talmudic passage which applies the ethos of modesty to observing the commandments. Tbh, I brought that up as a child w my mom. I was like, but now I stick out even more!? I’m practically screaming LOOK HOW MODEST I AM! Kind of like Trump proclaiming he’s the best at being humble.

I tried that once with a teacher in
#BeisYaakov ("But I'd blend in better if I could wear Normal Clothes") and I think I got a light reprimand for chutzpah (cheek). -
That’s the typical response. If they can’t answer a question, you get in trouble for asking it.
