What a beautiful and heartfelt video. You've inspired so many of us to follow your lead. My husband is Muslim and does not quite understand how important this movement is. One day I believe he shall.
Muslim men have ridiculously different experiences than Muslim women. He’s not only allowed to wear whatever he wants,he’s allowed to marry whoever he wants...he has so many freedoms that Muslim women can only dream of. It can be difficult to put yourself in someone else’s shoes.

When I was writing my last novel, about a Palestinian schoolgirl who meets an English boy. She rejects barriers of any kind. The research was fascinating and I was greatly assisted by two wonderful members of a Muslim Women's group.
