I imagine that this so-called luxury life is exclusive for a certain group in the Gulf states.
It’s a pervasive mindset. I didn’t grow up rich in Canada, but I was taught the same things. To think of myself as helpless. That I need a man to do everything for me. To do for myself would be shameful & dishonoring the family, ‘acting like a man’. I’m to know my place as a girl
