So fucking true! Thought freedom and thinking freely is isolating bc you find yourself there alone. :(
I feel sorrow for Muslim women because I empathize w how brainwashed I was. I think of my nieces and cousins stuck in this cycle of hijab as a child, married as a teenager, and it breaks my heart that they’ll never know freedom. This is their only chance at life.

This is WHY western nations need to embrace and empower more women like Rahaf, rather than continuing to equip brainwashed hijab advocates with the power to slowly eradicate the democracy that protects us, and them, from a subjugated and subordinate existence - without "choice".
