The biggest and most debilitating lie we are told growing up is that we have no control over our lives, that it’s all written/naseeb/kismet... They don’t want us to know what we’re capable of-we create our own destinies. We forge our own paths. Be free. Prove their lies wrong.

I saw your interview with Seth Andrews, and was just so impressed. In a way it also makes me feel like a coward. I'm an American white male, and I don't have the courage to come out as an atheist to my family. And here you are, with much greater danger. But I am encouraged..Thx.

You’re not a coward. We each have to evaluate our own situations and make our own choices about how to handle them. But yes, Yasmine is quite an inspiration, and that has helped me be more open and honest and stand up for what’s right.
