Why are Muslim girls treated differently? Why is it ok to promote religiously prescribed modesty clothing to them? Are they sub-human, lesser-than girls that don’t also deserve their freedom from patriarchy and misogyny? I’d love for one of those so-called progressives to explain
I'm not a Progressive but I understand how they think. They're virtue signaling tolerance and acceptance for other cultures. Their embrace of Islamic conservative dress has less to do with those that follow Islamic practice, and more to do with opposition to the far-right.
They see that those that criticize Islam in western culture tend to be on the right, and they associate the right with intolerance, racism and xenophobia. So they embrace all things Islam as a way to show which tribe they belong to and which tribe they oppose
Nobody _made_ you; you don't have a purpose in life: to be modest, or to be deferential. You decide what you want to be. A "good" wife? Maybe. An engineer, teacher, business owner? OK! Can be both! Don't let _anybody_ tell you what you can't be b/c you can do whatever you want. x

Because the Left views Radical Islam as a useful ally in their war on Capitalism. If that means that a few million Muslim women have to be collateral damage then they are fine with that.
I *think* it might have to do with the numbers. Maybe it's just a business decision since there are an estimated 100x more Muslims than Mormon. Meanwhile the Amish are just str8 up actively boycotting like, everything. What do you think?
