I am not sure how do u understand the meaning of word “ freedom “ ! We have variety of faiths on women wearing niqab, hijab or without and this is totally equivelant to the freedom of amish people ! Freedom is freedom of people choice not yours.

Stop fabricating the picture, the majority of women in saudi arabia are forced to wear niqab without their choice and those women can not do anything without the permission of their male guards.

Many in the comments can't understand that we are talking about women who are forced to wear hijab and niqab not those who accept wearing it. In many muslim countries women's lives endangered for taking off hijab therefore hijab is not a choice for these women.

The problem even with this sentiment in the West is that I have no way of knowing who’s wearing hijab/niqab willingly and who’s being coerced into wearing it, and defending their “choice,” by a family member or husband.

The problem is that in the context of a culture that mandates it when they have the political power we can't trust women who say they are "choosing" it even in a free society. An American Muslima tells you that she chooses hijab. How do you know what would happen in her family?

Im not defending liberals or miley cyrus but at least their goals are very clear, wanting everyone to have the right to do whatever they want without being judged, whats your goal? For women to never wear hijab? Thats not freedom. Your purpose is very unclear.

Her purpose is for everyone to understand that 97% of women in this world that wear a hijab do not have the right to not wear it. Either no legal right, or their society does not allow them to take it off.

I believe if you believe in feminism you need to accept women have the right to live and act the way they want .. women wearing niqb have selected this it’s their right!!

When a country demands it by law or jails you, that's not a choice or a right. When the law says you can wear it or not wear it, then that's a choice/right.
