When I first came on Twitter ~3 yrs ago, the dominant narrative was: Islam is a religion of peace but fundamentalists, Islamists, and Jihadis have ‘hijacked’ the religion
Now, I think the narrative has shifted. Ppl understand that dying a shaheed is the highest honor in #Islam

There were very few ppl speaking the truth when we started our podcast and filled that void w facts and our perspectives on things. But then I moved on because I wanted to do more positive things rather than just harp on the negative, so I started: http://www.freeheartsfreeminds.com 2
Now I’m at another turning point. I think more than enough ppl are out there raising the alarm in the detrimental aspects of the religion that need to be criticized, ridiculed, reformed etc. So I’m no longer needed in that. 3
Those are the women I want to focus on.

Not enough ppl are countering the well-meaning but dangerous Western corps, and ppl, that promote hijab and support the modesty culture that these women literally lose their lives for fighting against.
