So we all see things differently depending on our experiences/perspectives. Those of us that come from more fundamentalist/extremist families are criticized for being too wary whereas those from the nominally Muslim families are criticized for being clueless to the threat 3
Regardless of our experiences/perspectives we are all trying our best to be honest about how we see the issues and determine positive solutions. Even if it's not your personal experience, please give each #ExMuslim you encounter the benefit of the doubt.

but then you hear the lefties who are trying to be tolerant and say to people like you "i understand you're traumatized by islam but why don't you go fight bigotry in your country", you know the kind of message you'd expect a far right winger to say... it's so strange to watch

Judge every individual based on their individual actions/quality. Judge every philosophy based on its teachings. I have many-many Muslim friends, I love some and not so much others. But Islam... there is nothing to like about that.
And lets remember that even though I know nice Muslims there r 100s of millions (the majority) w/ values diametrically opposed 2 universal human rights. We know what happens as the Muslim population increases in any country and it's not good. Ex-Muslims have my support 100%.
