Reminds me of my childhood in Madarsa ( Islamic schools) in Pakistan, it was much worse though. Unfortunately too many of us can relate. All over the Islamic world or even in the West in Islamic schools and homes. Did you read Infidel by @Ayaan? Her Quran teacher cracked her skull. It’s little wonder why we’re exMuslims today. They correlate the word of Allah w violence.
Our Quran teacher used to terrorize us and the more we were afraid of him the more our parents became pleased and happy with his job. Like terror was a sign of good teaching. It was horrible, no wonder I have anxiety attacks.
I was a Muslim for almost 30 yrs of my life, and I think it will take at least another 30 to rid myself of all the trauma. I don’t know if youve tried it, but meditation has been really helpful for curbing my anxiety attacks. It’s an ongoing struggle xxx
Humans have incredible capacity for evil when indoctrinated from a young age. This early training breaks their brains. Makes it most impressive when those who are able break free from the cult. Keep up the fight.
