      Hi Yasmine, I thought of you when listening to Sam's podcast with @Deeyah_Khan . I wondered what you thought of her point that Muslims are working on their issues and the rest of us should stop over obsessing. Would you two have a conversation and publish it?

      I wrote a thread re some issues from that podcast. I didnt touch on the point you mentioned but I vehemently disagree. It’s not like ppl are running into the ME looking for reasons to ‘obsess’. Muslims are coming here w their trucks of peace- and we’re supposed to just ignore it?

      I suppose we should also stop obsessing about racism, feminism, antisemitism, and the other significant issues plaguing Western society? Lest someone get offended? Ppl are happy to ignore issues in North Korea because it’s not affecting us. Islam is affecting us.

      What struck me is that she has made a movie about honor killings, she admits to being terrified of being kidnapped as a teenager by conservative muslims, but can't understand why someone like Sam would spend so much time bringing to light these types of atrocities.
