Interesting convo. I have a lot of respect for @Deeyah_Khan’s empathetic perspective re Jihadis and Nazis, and humans in general.
But there were a lot of times when I felt she was being hypocritical or at least being intellectually dishonest.

instructions, akin to lines of code running on a computer program, the notion to refrain from criticizing it for any reason is absurd. it's actually more hurtful to the millions of ppl in the middle east who are still incapable of escaping this 7th century mode of living.
