Interesting convo. I have a lot of respect for @Deeyah_Khan’s empathetic perspective re Jihadis and Nazis, and humans in general.
But there were a lot of times when I felt she was being hypocritical or at least being intellectually dishonest.

I've only listened to part of this conversation, but I agree with
@ConfessionsExMu. I think@Deeyah_Khan's work is pretty amazing. I'm still haunted by her documentary on Banaz's story.

Yes, that documentary is my go to when I want ppl to understand the toxicity of cultural relativism.
