Sure, but if there's a problem with what they find out, it must be a translation error!! This is the excuse I always hear. It really is worse when they don't know Arabic, because everything is blamed on "bad translations".

The translations into English are so softened up and whitewashed compared to the Arabic.

It’s unfortunate that many young Muslim kids spend all their time learning to read the Quran, wasting time at the mosque, wasting time doing prayers, & wasting time fasting. Imagine if all that time was devoted to reading science, writing literature, or expanding skills.

It’s the very word of god. I’d have thought he’d implant it in our minds from birth.

I read it in Arabic, I find peace in the Koran. It’s timeless and spaceless. It depicts the complexities of human nature, one of the reasons why we find it http://contradictory.It is a historical and a history book. It is unfortunate criminals are using it to justify their crime.

Disingenuous. You know that many hardline Muslim reject translations because they say that involves interpretations. That’s true. Notion you’ll know what you’re signing up from one book is ridiculous because the hundreds of thousands of Hadiths are more significant. You know this

If you sign on to the
#Quran being the word of Allah, how can any specific thing be so bad that you decide to reject it? (Not a hostile question. I'm glad y'all are getting free. Just want to understand the thought process.) -
You might, as you learn more discover texts which seem so wrong, or two texts so contradictory as to challenge the initial proffered doctrine of perfection. If that is *solidly* in place then *there can be no error.* (this also applies with the bible and other "perfect" texts,)

Because the old/new testaments don’t contain scripture that can be interpreted as questionable when taken literally lol. Y’all act like this is unique to Islam it’s really not take your own advice and read the Bible.
