When I was married to the jihadi, he didnt allow cameras. Images of ppl was haram. So, I have no baby pictures of my daughter. Once we got away, I would periodically take her to Sears Portrait Studio-trying to make up for what was lost, but it could never replace what was gone.

Yes. Still breaks my heart. It took me a long while to not be resentful over how much of my life was stolen-but, stealing from my daughter, I'll never get over that. That's unforgivable. However, in the end, it worked out as best as it possibly could, so there's that :)
