I get the point you're making, but isn't the main problem with the hijab or niqab that it is mandatory in those countries? Isn't the coersion the biggest problem, which is absent in the West?

Coercion is part/parcel of the mindset that in the 1st place even conceived of denying women their humanity by covering them up . This toxic doctrine dictates that women are impure & unworthy. Ergo, coercion is the logical extension of that misogyny, not an X in a voting booth.

She is beautiful. Spineless men forcefully cover "their" women, because of "their insecurity". Happy to see women breaking out of their chains. In India, nowadays hijab is being imposed forcefully on even 7 year old kids. Shame on them.
