A lot of ppl have asked me about my personal feelings towards #Israel, so here goes: I grew up in a fundamentalist Islamic home where I was taught to hate Jews to an irrational degree. The hate was divinely ordained.

I saw how the Palestinian ppl lived in squalor as their politicians lived in extravagant luxury. In short, I saw that the black and white bad guy oppressing the good guy narrative was absolute garbage.

It should come as no surprise that there are good and bad ppl on both sides of this issue. Not all Israelis are the bad guy and not all Palestinians are the good guy. But you must have known that already. You’ve heard of Hamas.

I support a two-state solution (as do most) few ppl on both sides are hate-filled enough to demand a one-state solution. Unfortunately, it is them that are preventing peace.

Finally someone with relevant and realistic opinions. Can we make peace with those who educate their children to murder us from a young age? Golda Meir said, "Peace with the Arabs will come when they love their children more than they hate us."

Hi
@ConfessionsExMu, love your work! I left Islam recently and am still in the "brainwashed stupor" you described. I really want to re-learn this topic but am struggling to find objective sources of info - any recommendations? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
