He’s Ahmadi. Don’t bother. His ppl are killed by mainstream Muslims, his mosques are burned...but still they defend Islam. There’s no logic there.

The logic is right there in what you've said. The mainstream is clearly NOT following Islam (killing innocent Ahmadi Muslims is just one of several examples) and hence ruining the peaceful True image of Islam which Holy Qur'an teaches. So we must defend & remove misconceptions.
