This is, actually, one of my pet peeves, people saying others don't have the right to speak if they don't have the skin color or religion being discussed. Good to know cultural context, but why not speak/ have a voice? Power tripping stuff.

I also make this mistake years ago. Now, I think about it, It's ridiculous to remain silence at the expense of the majority women for the sake of few privilege muslim women. Hijab won't be 'just a piece of clothes' in the west until it becomes so in the middle east.
