Im glad ppl like you and @drusamahasan hold this extremely minority view because at least you wont be apologizing for and condoning child rape. Whatever you have to say to save children, I’m fine w. But the problem is it’s not a view held by mainstream scholars who inform Sharia.
Shias like to push this story because they hate Aisha and saying she wasnt a virgin is the worst insult their minds can conjure up. The Sunnis say it because they want ppl to stop thinking that raping children is Sunnah. Two very different intentions-but the results are the same.
Like I said, whatever stories ppl need to say-I don’t care. I just hope that the stories get some traction...because my only goal w caring about this issue is that there can hopefully be minimum marriage age under Sharia-hence preventing child marriage/ rape.
