Exactly. I have come to the conclusion that only privileged ppl who’ve never been through anything difficult could be that lacking in empathy.
I disagree w Kavanagh’s politics, but Im honestly shocked by the vicious and heartless comments by ppl re his testimony. Civility or even basic humanity is in short supply Whether it be Russia or Jihadis or whatever, if the aim is to divide and conquer-the first part is complete

For me what's most horrific is the manner in which the visceral, emotional appeals of Kavanaugh vs Ford are being used to form such forceful, often spiteful opinions without true consideration of the actual case. This is the kind of thinking that leads to religious theocracies.
