A woman in #SaudiArabia posted a pic of herself without niqab or hijab and now others are too under the hashtag #تضامن_مع_ترف_العسيري
Imagine posting your FACE and HAIR being such a brave act of resistance
A revolution is happening in MENA-and it’s being led by women.

I hope I’m wrong but Iran has a much better chance at revolution than Saudi Arabia. Most Saudis (men and women) are way too loyal to their royal family that they wouldn’t dare say a word against them, even if they execute every single activist (which is not far from happening)

a revolution in Saudi is not possible. tribal loyalties, financial dependencies, religious conservatism, a weird code of honour, a tight patriarchy and laziness have things locked down. plus, as you point out, people get dead if they need to be dead.

I agree. Saudi buys its ppls loyalty. Iran steals money from its ppl. I think that’s also significant. But, the women can revolt...I think that’s possible and it is actually starting to happen currently.

it's definitely a good sign. I think Iranian women are more kickass though. my bets are on them.
