a revolution in Saudi is not possible. tribal loyalties, financial dependencies, religious conservatism, a weird code of honour, a tight patriarchy and laziness have things locked down. plus, as you point out, people get dead if they need to be dead.
I agree. Saudi buys its ppls loyalty. Iran steals money from its ppl. I think that’s also significant. But, the women can revolt...I think that’s possible and it is actually starting to happen currently.
it's definitely a good sign. I think Iranian women are more kickass though. my bets are on them.

My family still lives there and they say it’s more social media noise than real life. We have much higher chances of hearing their messages than the public in Saudi. Maybe the strategy needs to be focused more inwardly?
in my limited -2 yrs experience of living there I think the problem is that those that want change are a tiny minority. many Saudis, if not most Saudis I befriended loved the royal family and if anything thought they were too liberal!!! it was only Saudi Shia who disliked them.
