Im watching the #TrayvonMartinStory and I have a genuine question for Americans. Please help me understand why Obama saying if he had a son, he’d look like Trayvon was so polarizing? I dont get it. Hes just a dad empathizing. Why does the doc claim it as the catalyst for BLM etc?
Ah. I can see this angle. I suppose everyone was sensitive and tensions were high and, in that context, it could be understood that he chose his words carefully to infer that. And maybe he did? Because Im not American (or Black or White) I just heard it as an innocuous statement.
